What AvPosts is

AvPosts lists business aviation jobs across Canada for pilots, aircraft maintenance engineers, cabin crew, flight operations and office roles at charter operators, corporate flight departments, aircraft management companies, medevac operators, FBOs and MROs. Each listing shows the pay, schedule, working conditions and equipment details the employer states, and candidates can search by licence, aircraft type, flight hours, province, language and more.

AvPosts in partnership with the CBAA

AvPosts is a career platform dedicated to connecting employers and qualified candidates across Canada's business aviation industry in partnership with the Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA). CBAA serves as the exclusive agent for the AvPosts platform and as a trusted partner of AvPosts in support of CBAA members and the broader Canadian business aviation community.

Where the listings come from

We read job listings from employers' own public career websites and combine them with jobs employers post directly on AvPosts, so openings from many company sites appear in one place. We re-check each source on a schedule and close a posting when it leaves the source page. The employer's original posting is still the final word on requirements and availability.

A company can appear here before it has joined AvPosts. You can still apply to one of its jobs, or send a general application if it has no open posting. We save those applications privately and invite the company to claim its profile, which is free. Its team can review applicants once we have verified its employer access.

Employers make the hiring decisions. A listing here does not mean AvPosts endorses the employer or has checked every detail in the posting.

Free for candidates and employers

Candidates browse jobs, save searches, build a profile and apply for free. Employers post jobs for free. Paid plans add promotion, distribution to other boards and compensation data.

AvPosts is a VOL and ForIT company

VOL (VOL Private Aviation Inc.) is based in Montréal and builds the reservation, workforce and regulatory software that Canadian business aviation runs on, for operators, brokers, aircraft owners and flight departments. AvPosts is the careers product of VOL and ForIT. VOL's other products are Digital Reservation, which takes a charter flight from quote to signed and paid reservation in one flow, AvRegs, which makes the Canadian Aviation Regulations searchable with peer discussion, AvFees, which shows what FBOs and airports actually charge, taken from real invoices, and an Owner Portal for aircraft owners, coming soon. Each VOL product is scoped around a role that already exists on an operator's team and is built by people who work in business aviation.

VOL also backs BAT Pros (Business Aviation Technology Professionals), the independent, vendor-neutral community for the people who run technology in business aviation, and its annual BAT Summit. Like AvPosts, both are powered by ForIT.

Powered by ForIT

ForIT (Forward Information Technology) provides fractional CTO and CIO leadership, managed IT services and software development to airlines and charter operators, including Part 135, Part 121, CAR 704 and CAR 705 operations. Its fractional CTO and CIO service plans an operator's technology work, manages its applications, contracts and vendors, and builds software with AI tools when existing products cannot do the job. Its software development and managed IT services cover custom applications, integrations, Microsoft 365 dashboards, a managed service desk and technology project delivery.

ForIT is a Microsoft partner and Cloud Solution Provider, a member of the Canadian Business Aviation Association and the National Business Aviation Association, and presented on the CBAA Innovation Stage in 2026 on how operators can build their own software with AI. It was founded in 2020 by Benjamin Thomas, its chief executive, who works as a fractional CTO and CIO for airlines and charter operators. ForIT LLC is based in Seattle and ForIT Canada Inc. in Toronto.

ForIT designs, builds and runs the AvPosts software, including the career-page connectors, the job search and the employer portal, and handles support for the site. The team that plans technology for operators is the team that ships AvPosts, so the board is built around how a Canadian operator hires, the licences and ratings it asks for, and the systems it already runs.

How VOL and ForIT work together

AvPosts is built by two companies with different jobs. VOL owns the product and decides what the board should do for Canadian aviation employers and candidates. ForIT writes and runs the software. Product decisions and daily engineering happen in the same conversation, so a problem an employer raises one week can be live on the site the next.

On the VOL side that work is led by Shaan Bhanji, who also sees hiring from the employer's side in his role at Fast Air. He uses the product, collects feedback from other operators and tells the team where the process falls down. On the ForIT side Benjamin Thomas and a development team build the career-page connectors, the aviation-aware search, the employer portal and the application flow, and run the service day to day.

That loop has shaped the board. Employer feedback pushed AvPosts beyond flight crew to avionics, dispatch, ground handling and office roles. It moved applications onto AvPosts itself after candidates were being sent back to company websites in a circle. It added private applications to companies that have not yet claimed their profile, with an invitation to claim it. Each change started as something an employer said and ended as software ForIT shipped.

The two companies share the same goal: the most accurate business aviation job board in Canada, with clear application status for candidates and employers who can act on the interest they get.
